Pastor Gabarri is one of the newest men supported by HeartCry. He works in the south of France in the city of Marseilles. In his latest field report, he outlined a personal need:

From September 15, our family went through some moments of anxiety. We discovered my mother-in-law had severe heart problems. The main aorta of his heart was very constricted. The doctors planned an open heart surgery, to replace the aorta and valves, for the beginning of October. This is a very risky operation. We immediately feared the worst. This prompted us to pray more intensely for our family and this important surgery. My wife was very worried and anxious because her parents are not believers. Despite her parents being incredibly kind, and respecting our beliefs, they never gave us too much access to talk about the gospel.

In the Lord’s providence, He is giving us better access to testify of the gospel to them through this crucial moment. I was able to pray with my in-laws and talk to them about the gospel in a way that I wouldn’t have been able to if this surgery was not scheduled. On September 27, my mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital because her condition worsened dramatically. We left urgently and my wife was able to enter the hospital room sharing this: “Jesus said to her: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even if he were dead; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (Josh 11:25-26) Do you believe this?”

Thanks to the Lord, the operation went well, she is now recovering. The Lord is wise in his purposes. Please pray for a fast recovery from the surgery and for salvation for all of our unbelieving family!
