Greatly appreciated supporters,

It is my pleasure to provide you with some fresh insights into our mission work here in
Germany. I highly value your intercession, for I am certain that the Lord graciously answers your earnest prayers for the sake of His name.

Time of Mutual Encouragement and Outreach

This month we had a group of young Christians from the United States with us. It was wonderful to experience an instant connection with believers from overseas as our common bond in Christ far outweighs any cultural differences. Together we explored the fascinating history of the Reformation in Germany and brought the Gospel to quite a few Germans on the street. We went out to distribute tracts and to preach open air in different locations.

There are very few true Christians in Germany. In fact, I would say that you would struggle to find even 1% of the population that knows Christ personally. Therefore, may I ask you to pray that the Lord might grant repentance to the people we spoke to and also to those who received a Gospel tract? Please pray for us as we desire to have a greater burden and zeal for the lost. Please pray that we spend more time in soul winning and discipleship and please pray that by the grace of God we see lasting fruit. Please pray as well for our brothers and sisters from the U.S. that the Lord might bless them for lovingly serving and encouraging us.

Church Planting Progress

Thank’s to our Lord, the great and all-wise church planter, we are making steady progress towards the constitution as a church in Frankfurt. We hope to set apart elders and to joyfully
covenant together as one body in Christ this autumn or later this year, Lord willing, if
everything goes according to plan. We greatly appreciate your continued prayers as we long to build faithfully upon Christ our firm foundation.

I can’t but thank the Lord for working in the life of His people. Even though I addressed quite a few topics (in my sermons this month) that are strongly against the worldview of the modern society, our people were willing to joyfully submit to the Word of God without any hesitation. I see people growing in the fear of the Lord; in understanding and Christlikeness.

Furthermore, the Lord continues to faithfully answer our prayers by bringing new visitors into our midst every single Lord’s Day, and some of them keep coming to listen to the Word of God. It is indeed a great joy for a minister to see people long for the pure spiritual milk (1Peter 2:2). Please pray that we all may grow in unity and maturity into Christ, the Head of the church.

Growing in Responsibility

For these past years, I have invested in a man who has been part of our church plant from the very beginning. We baptized him together with his whole family. Even though he is a lawyer with only a little time available he serves wholeheartedly in our midst. His progress in understanding and Christlikeness is tremendous. He has grown to be mature men of God who is faithful and able to teach and to lead others. You can imagine that he is an invaluable help to me. He recently began with a sermon series through the book of Jonah. I was blessed by listening to him and I trust he will keep up the good work. Please join me in thanksgiving for this precious brother and pray with me that he will be equipped with the grace to be a blessing to many.

Please allow me to express my most heartfelt gratitude to you who so faithfully pray and lovingly support us! You are an essential part of our ministry and I truly treasure your partnership in the Gospel.

May our great God reward you abundantly with the fullness of His blessings in Christ!
