Vitali Rusnac continues to shepherd the faith family of Patrauti de Jos Church.  He reports:

“We bless the Lord for the grace He has given us at the beginning of this year both in our family and ministry. We had many guests and evangelistic events this month. Most of the people are at home in the first two weeks of January, so this is a good opportunity for us to share our faith in Christ the Lord.

Between January 3rd-8th, we had church services every day, including two evangelistic services, when we invited non-Christians to church. On January 5th, we had a special guest, Adi Hentea, a Christian singer and composer. Although blind, but he is a great musician. God has given him the gift of singing. He shared his personal testimony and many young people were touched by what they heard. They realized they were healthy, but they were only partially involved in ministry. The Word of God was preached by Narcis Vlasin, a missionary among the Muslims in Uzbekistan. He encouraged us to pray and to support the ministry in Uzbekistan. It was a great night and the Spirit of the Lord searched most of us regarding our involvement in ministry.

On January 6th, we were visited by several brothers from Arad, Romania, who preached the Word. They preached about the Lord’s birth into our world. We enjoyed God’s grace. Our young people went caroling on January 6th, and they also passed out Gospel tracts and Christian calendars with Bible verses. They also invited the people to church for the next day. We are grateful to the Lord for His grace and for the warm weather, which was something unusual.

On January 7th, we had the Christmas worship service. We had non-Christians coming to church and some of them were there for the first time. The church had prepared a Christmas gift for every participant.

On the 8th we have had a special day for the children, a day camp. About 80 children attended this meeting and they enjoyed everything. We had the chance to share the Gospel with them and this has brought us a lot of joy. We pray that God will use these children to touch also their parents and we are already preparing an event for adults. I rejoice seeing the spiritual progress in these children’s lives.

God gives us always many opportunities to share the Gospel with people. I want to share with you about Ilie, a man in his 50s. He doesn’t go to any church and has had a difficult life having gone through many trials. All of these events have brought many questions in his mind. When I asked him if he believes in God, he was quite ambiguous and directed the discussion towards the problem of evil in the world. I tried to explain to him different things and then I wanted to give him a Bible, but he refused to accept it. However he agreed to see me again. I started to pray for him that God may open his eyes despite all the questions that ran through his mind.

Please pray also for a young man named Maxim. He was open for discussion, as well as Cristian, another young fellow. Let us pray that God will bring light in their lives, that they may see their sins and seek for salvation. However, I tried to talk to other people too, but they rejected me, saying that they have other beliefs.

The youth from our church helped me to give out many New Testaments to people.  We also offered some Bibles to those whom we have known for a longer time.”
