Today begins a five day training in the region of Pacaipampa, Peru. Around 55 pastors and teachers traveled yesterday many hours through the mountains and the rain to a small town of Pacaipampa called San Luis. Throughout this week, the 55 men will be meeting in a small church building, receiving instruction on the topics of Expository Preaching and the Doctrine of the Scriptures, taught by HeartCry missionaries Jose Luis Siancas and Javier Carhuapoma. Along with the teaching, all of the pastors will receive John MacArthur’s book on preaching and Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology.

Please pray fervently for this week’s training. Though the pastors of Pacaipampa would put most of us to shame by their zeal for the Gospel and the advancement of the glory of Christ, many of them have very limited access to sound resources. This is a rare opportunity for them to sit under sound instruction from the Word of God. Pray that they would grow in their appreciation of the sufficient, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God, and in their ability to ex-posit and apply it in the churches they lead. Pray also for safe travel back to their families at the end of this week.
