HeartCry Mission Society works with Shalom Ministry Cambodia to strengthen local churches and facilitate evangelistic efforts in several provinces in Cambodia. HeartCry presently supports seven indigenous missionaries. The provinces that the men are currently living and laboring in are Phnom Penh, Battambong, Kandal, and Pursat.

During the month of June, the HeartCry pastors and missionaries actively participated in the duties of pastoral ministry-preaching publickly and visiting church members in their homes. In addition, new mission opportunities were opened to spread the gospel. Two missionaries serving in Battambong Province initiated meetings with small groups in new areas. The initial reports are encouraging! The missionaries have been warmly received and there is an apparent interest to learn more about the gospel from the word of God. In Kandal Province, Pastor Sothon has taught ten new believers about the biblical meaning of baptism. Also, Pastor Chinnho, located in Phnom Penh, led an evangelistic excursion to the northern province of Mondulkiri, which borders the country of Vietnam.

Please continue to pray for the HeartCry missionaries who face challenges of a culture steeped in Buddhism and the harsh difficulties associated with extreme poverty. Specifically, we have been asked to pray for: the living conditions of the church members in Battambong; that the new small group leaders in Battambong will prove faithful to the Lord; the training on expository preaching will be received in Kandal Province; and the plan to plant churches in the provinces of Kep and Sihanouk Ville will be directed by the Lord.
