Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God in His providence has given us a beautiful baby girl, Mercy born on May 20. God has blessed us with two daughters, Sneha and Mercy in our family. We are enjoying with our kids and also God has given us much more responsibility to take care and shepherd these precious souls. I am busy with my wife and newly baby helping them. As my wife had gone through C-Section surgery but now she is coming back to normal. We thank God for the successful surgery of Arpana and safe baby. We even appreciate for the brother and sisters holding us in your prayer.

Well, apart from my family time, I was also involved in preaching regularly in the local church and teaching among the youth Bible study. It is such a blessing to study the word of God together. A couple of week we had a Q & A in our youth group. They raised many questions like what is justification? What is biblical marriage? How can we identify he/she is a born again Christian? When a child born and died a week later or a month or a year where will he/she (heaven/hell)? Ethical and practical questions were raised from the youth group. The youth are seeking to grow in a right understanding for the truth. It is my joy in the Lord that the believers are maturing in the Lord.

During these couple of months I was able to go through the books “Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ” by John Piper; Sound Doctrine by Boby Jaminson; What is a Healthy Church by Mark Dever. These books has wonderfully encouraged and challenged in my life. John Piper wrote, “Christ is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.” I really enjoyed reading this book and praise God for this wonderful book.

We especially thank HeartCry and CrossWay publisher and the different authors of the Nine Marks of the Healthy Church for allowing us to translate the series books in Nepali. Presently, we have final hard copy on “Sound Doctrine” available; the rest of the books are at work and I hope we will have those ones in days to come. These books will really bless, encourage, and challenge our Nepali elders and give much more desire to establish healthy churches so that Christ will be honored.

During this month God had given me a privileged to make personal evangelism. I was able to share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to two Hindu ladies. I shared about who God is? Who man is and who Christ is? Before telling the Good news, I focused on the bad news. Man deepest problem (sin); the wrath of the Holy God upon sinner, and the sacrificial work on the cross; pleading them see the work of Christ and urging them to repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Well they were listening but did not respond to anything. May the Mighty God change their heart of stone and give them heart of flesh and His spirit (Ezekiel 36:6-27) and cause them to be born again (John 3:5-6).

Finally I would like to thank God for His guidance and leading my family and me in His grace and sustaining our life so far. We appreciate for your sincere prayers and support partnering for the Gospel ministry by different means. Glory to our God Almighty!

In Him, Silas
