In order to enable Javier to travel through the mountains to visit HeartCry missionaries and other church plants, HeartCry has provided him with an SUV. This vehicle will be able to endure the rugged terrain of the northern Andes, where the pavement quickly runs out, leaving rutted out dirt roads winding around steep cliffs and inclines.

Also, beginning this year Javier is heading up a Bible institute, along with HeartCry missionary Jose Luis Siancas, for pastors in the mountains of Pacaipampa and Morropon. The institute will be held in one of the villages in each of those regions, where the pastors will receive intensive teaching from morning until evening for five days. The vehicle that was provided for by those who support HeartCry will prove to be a very useful tool in traveling to those small towns.

Luke began working for HeartCry in 2012 after graduating from Virginia Tech. He was raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia and now resides a few hours south in Radford, Virginia with his wife Meghan and their three children. He is the coordinator for the work that HeartCry is involved in throughout Latin America.
