Marian shares the horrific account of a lady who was threatened by her husband:

“One week ago, after the church service, a brother from our church committee came to talk to me about some issues. After speaking with him for about 1/2 an hour, a lady approached us. She attended a Pentecostal church in another village. She told us that her husband is very jealous and threatens her with a knife. Often, he locks her in the house.  He is very violent with her and the kids and one of their neighbors manage to save her and the kids from him on one occasion. She asked me to go and talk to him.  I told her to go and stay with some of her relatives and then to call me after two hours. She told me then that her husband agreed to come to our church meeting in the evening. He came and sat quietly on a bench until I finished the sermon. After the sermon I asked him why he was behaving like this with, accusing her of being unfaithful. I attempted top convince him not to act on the basis of suspicion, Then I asked him if he wanted to receive the Lord and if I might pray for him. He said that he wanted the Lord.  I prayed for him and his family. After the prayer time, he said to everybody in the church that he came to church that evening because he wanted to kill his wife.

Later, I told his wife not to go home until there is a clear change in his behavior. I told him to come again to church and he promised to do so. I pray that God would take care of our sister and that He would help her be victorious in this situation.”
