In his July report, HeartCry missionary Ion Tomeci shares the conversion story of Leo and how the transformation of a life can impact a future generation:

Leo had lived his life to the extreme. He belonged to that group of people that used anything for their own advantage, knowing how to make money off of anything. He did this because he didn’t like to work.

His story began five years ago when we had an evangelistic campaign in Fieni.  A lady named Corina came to our medical project, which led to her transformation. After she turned to the Lord and began to attend the Baptist Church in Fieni, she had a good friend that she invited to church. The friend happened to be Leo’s wife, who started attending the church with some reluctance. I met Leo’s wife last year when she brought her daughter to our medical project to be seen by a dentist. Back then, Leo was against our project and wanted to meet with pastor Florin Stan in order to give him his opinion about what we were doing. That meeting took place a year ago and happened to be the moment when Leo got in touch with the evangelical Christians and began coming to church. Leo’s life was changed. And as a result, he is doing the catechism course and going to be baptized this fall.

Leo’s changed life led to his mother coming to church and now she also wants to be baptized this fall. Praise the Lord! Leo’s experience shows me once again that the Gospel has a great power to change people totally so as to impact the future generation! They are attending church now with their 10-year-old son. Their daughter is a student in Bucharest. They want her to understand the Gospel and come to the Lord.

When we had the medical project in Fieni, an ex-friend of Leo came to him. I saw Leo testifying about the way the Lord had changed his life. His friend just couldn’t believe how changed Leo was! God and His Gospel can change any life!
