This month, as many of you know, the El Niño weather phenomenon began. It was disastrous for the whole coast of our country and, our state of Piura was the hardest hit. In spite of this we continue to trust the Lord. We have been impacted in an indirect way by all that has happened.

This month we did not evangelize from house to house because, with each rain, it was more and more difficult to get around. Nevertheless, even though we did not do door to door evangelism, we have worked to gain the trust of some people through the help that we have shown them during this time of disaster. As a church we are getting organized to take help to those who are in need and at the same time to share with them the message of salvation.

Beloved brothers and sisters, we plead with you to pray because there are many needs here in the north of the country. Most of all there is a need for water. Other products, like food, have become very expensive. But we know that, in the midst of this, God has never abandoned his people. It is true that the rains have caused destruction in the cities, but I view this as the beginning of a time spiritual planting and harvesting.
