Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

The Lord is good, and His steadfast love endures forever. I just wanted to share some exciting events that have taken place in our ministry, and some information concerning our church. I’m excited to announce the baptism of two believers:

Keerthi

She has been coming to the church for two years, but I never asked her to take baptism. Upon hearing God’s Word, the Holy Spirit convicted her in this matter. She then asked me if she could be baptized. However, her husband did not allow her to take baptism. She approached me and asked, ‘what should I do?’ I then told her to be patient on God and keep praying. We wanted to see if the Lord would intervene. After four months, her husband gave her permission to get baptized. I was able to explain to her about conversion, and was able to examine her life as well. It was a joy to baptize her and to welcome her into the church.

Salamma

Salamma goes to the church plant in Panakalapalem. She is 50 years old. She lost her husband soon after she got married and is now a widow. For the past five years, she never showed any interest in attending the church. She would also criticize those who would attend the church. She would make comments like, “these pastors just preach to pass time.” But we were praying for her conversion and never lost the opportunity to share the gospel with her. One day suddenly, she came to me and asked, “Can I come to church?” I told her, “You’re most welcome to come to church.” She replied, “I am so embarrassed to come to church because I know that I lived a very bad life, and I am afraid that people may look down upon me.” Then I said, “You have decided to do the right thing. You do not have to be ashamed to come to Jesus Christ.” So she started coming to church and after three months, she requested me to give her baptism. I asked her “why do you want to be baptized?” She explained, “Jesus Christ died for me on the Cross. I don’t have any hope in this world. I will only live for Christ and Christ alone.” It was my privilege to baptize her in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and welcome her into the fellowship. Please pray for these two women.

Ministry at ‘Way to Life Church’

The Lord is blessing the church ministry. For the last three weeks, I have been preaching a series on ‘The Blood and Atonement of Jesus Christ.” Please pray for God’s guidance and leading to preach His Word. Apart from the Lord’s Day, we gather on Wednesday for Bible Study, and on Saturday for intercessory prayer. I am the only teaching elder in the church right now. Please pray that the Lord may raise another elder and a deacon in the near future to help take care of the flock.

Evening School

God has opened the door to reach out to the poor children in our neighborhood by helping them learn English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. My wife Leela is taking care of these children. We have found this ministry to be useful to make contacts with the parents of these children. Please pray about this precious ministry. Thank you so much for your prayers and support towards our ministry.

In Christ,

John H.
