May the grace of God abound to you all, and may He continue to increase your longing and service for those of us who are serving here in Peru. Pray that we might always be found dressed in readiness, prepared for battle. I want to send my greetings to you all and share with you some of the things that are happening in the church that the Lord has given us to serve and care for in Villa el Salvador, Lima.

Just a couple months into the new year we are learning many new things. The presence of God is the motive for all of our boasting and glory, and I believe that if we accomplished anything these past couple months, it is only because God has been with us. I will begin by telling you that as a church we have begun meeting in a different building, and even though it was difficult to obtain a new meeting place and it required much perseverance, God has allowed us to see how He has caused everything to come together and it has been a great encouragement to the believers of the congregation. Now it is time to begin working and serving in this new community by taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who live around us.

By God’s grace, we were able to go through with our plans for an evangelistic event in this district of Lima. We began by teaching the children in the community, which opened the door to be able to speak with their parents and share the Gospel with them. Many of the parents listened as we preached the Good News of Christ. Our prayer and desire for those who heard the preaching that day is that they will continue to come to our church meetings to hear the messages, and that God would grant them faith and repentance.

The opportunities for serving and teaching are multiplying and the amount of work required to care for the responsibility of the ministry is increasing. We are in need of more laborers to be raised up and devote themselves to the work of the Lord. Lord willing, we will soon be able to entrust more responsibilities to some of the believers who are serving in our congregation. Please, I ask for your prayers. The work of the ministry requires men of faith, and I am praying that the Lord would raise up such men here in our church.
