Nicu and Daniella Vulpe are about to celebrate 20 years of ministry in Pucioasa.  They have been epistles of faithfulness while living there.  This month, Nicu writes:

Another good month for the Gospel! The Lord helped us spread His Word this month. We had personal discussions on the street evangelistic meetings with the adults and children and visits in the hospital. Let me share several things from our activities.

Mr. Nicu is a man in his 60s. He is known to be a generous man. There were many people in his courtyard when I visited him. Someone shared the Gospel with him some time ago. He even probably had several meetings at his place. He seemed to know these things and he had an attitude of self-contentment. I could see he had this attitude because he was a generous man. Trying to prove to me that he was a good man, he told me he had sold a pig three years ago and was still waiting for the money. So, I told him the parable of the fig tree and said that God had been waiting for him for 65 years to pay for the debt of his soul. Then I spoke to him about the Lord’s sacrifice, which is the supreme proof of God’s justice (not only of His love). In the end, he understood and admitted that he had never submitted to God’s Word. All the people who were present there were very receptive to the Word.

A lady was hitchhiking one day and I gave her a ride. She was going to the hospital, while her husband, Catalin, was at another hospital with their son. This was a great opportunity for me to tell her that there is hope for her soul and this hope is found in the Gospel. She had heard about us before. I believe that the Lord allowed her to hear the Gospel message, so that she could know about the comfort that comes from God. I pray that this family would find salvation in Jesus Christ.

Then we had a social project, which was a good opportunity for us to preach the Gospel to 20 people. I was glad to see the sisters being so involved in this project, both in serving and in testifying about the Lord. These 20 persons are in contact with us now. Most of them opened their hearts to us; they asked for New Testaments and also asked us to pray for them.

It was a joy for us to meet Adriana’s mother. She is an English teacher in town. She has recently started bringing Adriana to our afterschool project. This lady told me that she had a son who killed himself when he was in the 11th grade and now she has to face the people’s contempt because of this. The Lord allowed us to get closer to her. We welcomed as a friend and not suspiciously. W are praying that the Lord would open her heart so that she would become His daughter.

All the children that are attending our afterschool program come from non-Christian families and I can see that their interest in the Word of God has increased lately. We have a special time every week when I teach them Bible lessons. Both the children and the parents are enthusiastic about what we share. Sara (8 years old) has decided to follow the Lord
