Emanuel Ivan serves with Sorin Prodan at the Providence Church of Brasov. He is a very warm-hearted minister that possesses a servant’s heart. This month, he shares of some of gospel encounters:
“The Lord gave us the grace to preach the Gospel this month and I would like to share with you about a young man. He is 40 years old, divorced and has a daughter who doesn’t live with him. I could see the disappointment on his face as he tried to make a fresh start several times, but failed. I preached the Gospel to him and told him that the Lord Jesus, our Savior, is the only one who can help him make a fresh start. I was glad that he didn’t reject me and even allowed me to pray for him at the end of our conversation.
As Sorin and I were sharing the Gospel in the Avantgarden neighborhood, we met two high school students and preached the Gospel to them. The Lord gave us grace in our preaching as they were open and understood what we told them. We pray that the Spirit of the Lord will regenerate them.
The Lord also opened a door for His Word in a girl’s life. She is a former worker with a relative of mine. The girl called me from Italy to ask for my help. She believed that someone had cast a spell on her because she failed in everything she was doing. She had called a witch to undo the curse or bad luck as she called it. But instead of helping her, it made the situation even worse. For she started feeling a strange presence on her, which made her behave abnormally (she mutilated herself). I preached the Gospel to her and encouraged her to look for an evangelical church. I also told the church to pray for her that the Lord would set her free and save her. I had met this young girl while we lived in Italy where I had testified to her about the Lord and the ministry He had called me to do. This is why she was desperate to call me for help.”
Don is serving as the HeartCry Coordinator for Eastern Europe. As an itinerant evangelist, his pulpit ministry is directed toward preaching on the inner life of the believer and the spiritual need of the lost.
