Anatol Dunas is a pastor of Emanuel Church in Cahul, Moldova.  This month he shares some of the testimonies of fruit from his outreach:

On July 30th – August 3rd, we organized a day camp in Larga, the village where we are planting a new church. I was surprised to see 75 children attending the camp. I preached the Gospel and challenged the children to put their faith in the Lord Jesus. We also went visiting in the afternoon and preached the Gospel to the families that we visited. People are open and this makes things easier for us in the church planting process. We also visited several poor families and offered them food supplies and preached the Gospel to them. In September we will start having worship meetings for young people and adults. We will also have the kids’ club every Saturday. After the youth camps, we organized three follow-up meetings. About 40 young people attended these follow-up meetings.

On September 7th, we will start again the youth meetings. I have equipped five young men who will be involved in this ministry through singing and small group leaders.

One or two people shares with the church every Sunday their personal testimonies or special experiences with God.

The first testimony

Tamara has grown up spiritually in the past few years. She is taking care of ten old ladies. On Sunday she shared with us how she had brought hope and joy in an old woman’s life by sharing the Gospel with her and by hugging her. Some of those ladies won’t get to come to church, but they will leave this earth with faith in Jesus Christ, thanks to Tamara’s ministry. Several years ago, Tamara used to be so discontent and focused on herself, as she was facing some health issues. But three years ago, the Lord put it on her heart to take up this ministry and to take care of other women. So now you don’t hear her complaining anymore, but you can hear her testifying about the way in which the hope in Jesus brings joy in other people’s lives. She sings or recites poems in the church every Sunday. She has become more selfless and is seeking other people’s interest more than her own.

The second testimony

My name is Artur and I am 18 years old. My father left my mother and their four small children. It was tough for us, but the church in Badicu, a church planted by Emanuel Church, was our refuge and joy. My older sister took me with her when she attended the children’s program at the church. I loved going to those meetings, because there we had tea, biscuits, games and Christmas presents. Then I started being interested in the Bible lessons. One Sunday I invited my mother to church and both of us repented that day. My mother was so impressed to see the change that was taking place in me. When I was 15, mom and I got baptized. When I was a student in Cahul, I shared the Gospel with my schoolmates and friends and two of them have turned to the Lord. Now I want to go to the Theological Seminary and get prepared for the pastoral ministry.

I have also asked the young people, ages 18-20, to share a few thoughts with the church every Sunday. Adrian (20), a theology student, and Dan (17) have made progress in speaking in front of the church in the name of the Lord.
