Dear HeartCry,

I first send greetings to all pastors, families, churches, and all believers and personnel who have supported and prayed for the mission in Vietnam. We sincerely thank you, and may God bless you all with His grace and peace.

God gives us peace, even though we are affected by the disease spread across the country. I also prayed to God for mercy and for the epidemic situation to be reduced so that everyone’s daily life could return to normal.

Recently in our church, there was a believer who was baptized. He passed away to God during the pandemic. The first day I met him, I prayed for him and taught him the word of God; he was a man who loved God and was faithful in worship. There was not a week when he was not present at the meeting until the day he was ill.

The last time I prayed for him, he cried, and he passed away, and I was both sad because I lost a brother, but on the other hand, I am happy that he believed in God. Although he believed in God only a year ago, he was faithful to God in the last hour of his death. I am incredibly grateful that God used me to take care of him like my grandfather since he believed in God. The Apostle Paul said, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction” (II Timothy 4:1,2). The apostle Peter also said, “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock” (I Peter 5:2, 3).

These two passages of the Bible are very important and meaningful to me because it helps me realize that the ministry I have is a call of God through His only Son, Jesus Christ. So I must cherish the ministry I have as God-given, so I must do it faithfully with all my heart. As for my spiritual life, I have to build myself up by prayer and Bible study. Please remember us in prayer.

Sincerely,

Binh B.
