This month we had two special programs for the children. For the first one, twelve Korean university students helped us. They helped us during the day and in the evenings they had doctrinal classes with me. We had these classes for three days and they were a great blessing. The other program was also a great blessing. Eighty-two children between the ages of eight and thirteen participated and most of them continue participating in our Bible clubs and Sunday School. We will continue visiting their homes to try to reach their parents, many of whom have been bringing their children to the program.

This month we finished giving a training on how to teach children, which we organized in the church. The training included the participation of Sunday School teachers from six churches here in the Huaycan area. There were twenty-two total participants, including two young people whom I am discipling. During the training they discovered some gifts the Lord has given them for teaching children. Now they are helping me with the children and I ask that you would pray for them and for me to have wisdom to continue helping them.

We were invited to do the training in another part of Lima (Comas) through one of the brothers who attended the first training. We did the training for an institute that brings together about forty churches. The event included thirty-three teachers who represented twenty-nine churches. There is so much to do, the work is so great, and life is so short! Praise the Lord for his Spirit and his presence which sustains us and helps us to keep going even when we are tired.

This week we are preparing for a baptism. Lord willing, we will baptize four young people. We are praying that the Lord would give us a sunny day during the weekend so we can do the baptism.

Together with two other brothers and my wife, we are developing classes for couples. We are offering the classes to the parents of the children who attend our programs and to the couples in the church. We live in a context of male chauvinism and wife abuse. So, we are trying to reach these families with this program. May the Lord help us, through your prayers, to develop this material.
