David, delighted and confident in God’s Word, described the sacred text as more desirable than gold and sweeter than honey as he reflected upon the Bible’s attributes and its effectiveness (Psalm 19:7-10). In light of the value and blessings of God’s Word, HeartCry Missionary Society was overjoyed and thankful to fund and participate in a recent training opportunity with pastors from the area of the Greater Middle East (GME) in an undisclosed location.

The training focused on Bibliology-The Study of the Word of God. The fundamental topics included: inspiration, inerrancy, sufficiency, necessity, authority, clarity, and canon. The topics are especially vital in the GME because the pastors in this region, along with the members of their churches, are bombarded with pseudo claims from Muslims that the Bible has been corrupted and is filled with mistakes. The pastors were encouraged to faithfully “preach the word” with the deep conviction that the Bible is of divine origin and, therefore, perfect, pure, and powerful.

Continue to pray for the pastors in the GME that they will remain faithful to Christ and God’s word. Pray they will continue to minister believing the Word of God is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16). They face many challenges but they also recognize that God’s grace is sufficient to meet their needs and cause the gospel to run with rapidity.
