My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” (Matt 26:39)

Dear brothers and sisters,

Thank you for linking arms with us here in Sweden. We are humbled and thankful for your generosity making it possible for us to do what we are doing.

Family

Right now the kids are all at home for summer break from school and the two oldest ones are in swim school a few hours every weekday. All the other kids in their swim classes are Muslims, so Hannah enjoys talking with the moms while they swim.  We are thankful for those opportunities, and that God has given us stewardship of our kids. Please pray for wisdom and guidance as we parent our children. Please pray that God would grant them repentance at a young age.

Church

As I mentioned in my former report, this summer we will have a grill night every week (often at the same lake as the swim school), where we invite family members, friends, and contacts. We have 11 different short evangelistic sermons on the life of Christ for these events. The summertime is always challenging as many people are traveling and the weather is usually rainy. This summer we’ve had nice weather every week and thus many visitors. Last week, we had several non-Christian visitors from places like Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Africa. The highlight for me was a man that I meet one time in the Middle East 11 years ago. He is now a refugee in Sweden, and had found our church’s Facebook page. The time before, we had a visitor who was originally from Asia. He was visiting from another country in Europe. After hearing the sermon, he said that he wanted help to understand the Bible, so we are now trying to link him up with a believer where he’s living. We desire someone to read one of the gospels with him.

Please pray for the continuation of the grill nights. This coming week we are going to look at Gethsemane, and I will be preaching on “Let this cup pass from me.” Please pray for the upcoming grill nights- for the Lord to continue to bring people and especially that he we would see people brought to a saving faith.

Reformedia

In terms of Reformedia, we are right now in a transition with Ola finishing up his part-time work to pursue his studies. This means that I will now be the chairman for the board and David Yngfors will start to do some of the admin instead of Ola. Please pray for this transition, and especially when it comes to book translations- that we can find a long-term way forward.

At the moment we are waiting for “Expositional Preaching” by David Helm to be delivered from the printing company. The layout for “Listen up!” by Christopher Ash is being finished, so we will send that off to the printer next week. Ola will also work on finishing the editing of “Knowing God” by J.I. Packer and with the help of a translator outside of Reformedia, the translation of “God’s Big Picture” by Vaughn Roberts has been started.

Thank you for partnering with us.

In Christ and for His glory,

Daniel Norén
