Greeting to you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, we are doing good so far, and I thank God for giving us this opportunity to write about the work of the Lord which He has accomplished for the last couple of months.
In the grace of God, the church has been growing slowly. Some of the believers are suffering from long years of sickness, but God is sustaining them and giving them new hope every morning. I am praying that each church member will grow in their knowledge of God and follow Christ with a joyful heart.
In weekly service, I am preaching through the gospel of John. We are now close to finishing this book. The believers are growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. On Thursday, brother Kirk and I sit together and discuss the messages for the church service. We have been joined by other pastors who are not from reformed faith as we prepare the sermon. This has been good to see, as they have allowed us to help guide them. May God help them to know the biblical truth and to be able to preach it in their local church. We are also excited about having church membership classes after the service. We are currently walking through our statement of faith, and they will soon apply for formal church membership in our local church. Praise God for reforming this local church.
I am praying for the church of Ghorli Kharka. Geographically, it is far from my local place. Because I am busy in my local church, I am unable to care for that church properly as it should be. In the grace of God, we had an opportunity to celebrate Christmas there. Three other brothers accompanied me. It was raining day and night. Because of this, we were unable to have Christmas fellowship in an open place, but we huddled in a small room with 25-30 people gathered. Most of the people come to the weekly fellowship. The weather was very cold and rainy, but the people still joined the service. This brought great joy to my heart to see their hunger and thirst for Christ. After the program, the believers requested that I would meet with them more regularly. This is difficult, especially in the monsoon season. Please pray that the Lord would raise up a local leader to care for this flock.
It is very challenging to serve the Lord in the mountains. There are no good roads to reach the people, and most of the time, we need to hike for hours and hours. But at the same time, I have a great joy to serve His people and carry out the gospel work of Christ. The great hope and reward found in Christ encourage me to do the work of the Lord. I am very much thankful to HeartCry for the support. Please do pray for me, and for the work of the Lord in these areas. Thank You!
