In the last couple of months, Cambodia has begun to see a rise in Covid infections that has caused the government to enforce stricter measures to limit its spread. Meanwhile, his people continue to share the gospel with those around them – whatever happens…. “Christ has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgement, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him” (Heb. 9:26-28).

Pastor Hun R. took advantage of a great opportunity to reach out.

I thank God so much for his blessing that I was able to completely carry out my daughter’s wedding program before the latest Covid restrictions came into force. We praise God that a lot of people attended, and they said that our program was good. They said they have never seen such a wedding program before. This is because it was a Christian wedding, and we took the opportunity to share the gospel with all of them. Even if they have not accepted it yet, now they have heard the good news of Jesus Christ and understand the difference He makes to our lives.

Pastor Pun S. has also been ready to give a reason for the hope that is in us.

We thank God for new believer to come to worship. We had a small Bible study group meeting together at church when a man came in. His name is Pho, and he said, “Can I come in?” I said, “Please come in and sit over here.” He sat down and listened until the end of my teaching. Then I asked him, “Did you understand my meaning or not?” He said, “No, I want to know more.” I shared the gospel with him, and then I prayed for him that the Holy Spirit would come in his life.

Another occasion Pastor S. had a larger audience.

My wife and I went to visit Youm Makara, a student member of our church, who was sick in the hospital with meningitis. We prayed for her, and we used God’s word to encourage her, but we were sad because her uncle and her aunt told her parents to ask Satan to help her. Thank God that her parents didn’t agree. Then I told them that Makara believed in Jesus and that He is more powerful than Satan, actually a demon. Satan may help you for a short time but not forever and then he will hurt you more than he heals you.

Her aunt said, I am sorry, I didn’t realize this. Then I told them that Jesus is God – He created heaven and earth and everything on the earth, including our life. He is the One who will take care of us and save our life. Then other elderly visitors came and said Jesus is another religion for other people. I told them that Jesus is God of the Universe and for all nations on the earth, not only for different nations but for our nation too. Jesus is Savior for all who believe in him. After that, they didn’t speak. I am very happy that Makara’s parents didn’t agree to pray to Satan, and they listened to God’s word.
