As Matt and I arrived at our hotel this evening we agreed, today was blessed. Pastor Wei from Singapore began teaching on the Ordo Salutis in the pastor’s conference at Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Pastor Wei is a gifted communicator and an able theologian and the pastors were very attentive.
During dinner, Matt and I had the opportunity to hear the testimony of a Vietnamese pastor who was incarcerated for 1 1/2 years for sharing the gospel. However, God blessed “Barnabas” with grace and he was able to share the gospel with those who imprisoned and beat him while he was in custody. Let us be mindful of what the author of Hebrews wrote:
“Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves are in the body”Hebrews 13:3
HeartCry is attempting to supply the men in Cambodia and Vietnam with solid books and help them build a personal library. We secured copies of Vaughn Robert’s book “The Big Picture” in Khmer for several of the men today. “The Big Picture” is a concise book on biblical theology that is very beneficial in helping the reader understand the storyline of the Bible and will aid the pastor’s understanding immensely.
Thanks again for your prayers.
