I have now returned from our trip to India and Nepal, and I am very thankful for the Lord’s apparent grace that was with us. Our team of five enjoyed many good ministry opportunities and joyful fellowship as we traveled around North India and Nepal. We had three pastors conferences focusing on the preacher’s life, doctrine, preaching, and church that I feel were greatly blessed and fruitful. (I have discussed the first conference in more depth in an earlier post.) The Lord enabled us to visit and teach almost all of HeartCry’s missionaries working in India and Nepal, as well as one of the brothers working in Bangladesh.

Although the majority of churches in India and Nepal suffer from weak or false doctrine, it is very encouraging to see what the Lord is doing through the men HeartCry supports and others like them. He is making a Name for Himself even in these largely unreached countries, and I pray He will do so more and more. I am looking forward to our next trip to Asia, possibly coming up in January or February.

There are a few other recent prayer requests from our missionaries that I would like to highlight here and ask for your prayers. Though these men and their ministries are half-way across the world, we can labor together with them and share in their joy by lifting up their requests to God. The first request is for our men in North India. Sometimes there is hostility and opposition in the villages they minister in. Pray specifically for David A. and the village he is preaching in. Last year the authorities demanded that they stop meeting in their place of worship, so they now meet under a tree with four surrounding walls to worship the Lord Jesus.

The second prayer request is for a 40-day training program that Vijay S. is conducting in South India this month. The training began on October 1 and will run through November 15. These trainings are used to raise up and equip more native missionaries who will be sent out to plant churches in South India. During this particular training, the Lord has provided a pastor from a Treasuring Christ Together church who has moved his family to India for three months to minister in greater depth to these Indian men. Pray for the Lord’s grace on Vijay, the pastor and his family, and the 30 or so men who are being trained at this time.

Thank you for your prayers, and may God bless and keep you always.
