On September 27-28, 2019, at a forum of churches in East Timor, the Lord Jesus gave me a special opportunity to teach a Biblical doctrine taken from “Baptist Confession of Faith 1689” on the topic of “God and the Holy Trinity.” This gathering includes various non-Catholic denominations (Pentecostal, Charismatic, Presbyterian).
Here is feedback of two participants after they have attended the event.
“The teaching material, shared with us at the forum, strengthened our faith, enriched our knowledge of the Bible, equipped us to think according to the Scriptures and to stay on guard against all kinds of false ideas on the subject of “God and the Holy Trinity.” Pastor A.
“There are so many wrong beliefs about Trinity in churches of East Timor; therefore, a healthy sound doctrine is of a great need here. At this seminar, God’s Word was at the center, which prepared me to fight against deceitful instructions in Timor Leste.” Pastor C
It is reassuring to see the eagerness of my faith family in Timor Leste to love the Word of God and to obey it! May the Lord receive all the glory for the work of His Holy Spirit in the midst of my brothers!
On Sunday, September 29, 2019, God allowed me to preach the Word from 1 Peter 2:9 at the first anniversary of the constitution of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Dili. I was encouraged to see the fruit of Pak Fransisco, his family, and the congregation’s faithful ministry.
Dr. John MacArthur said: “The one who has learned spiritual truth and applied it diligently will receive even more truth to faithfully apply.” I pray this will be true of the saints in Dili.
My hope and prayer for everyone who heard the truth are for them to diligently and faithfully apply it.
Sincerely, Pastor I.
