Heart Cry missionary, Marian Bicajan, relates a recent divine encounter he had while on the streets doing open air evangelism:

“I want to share with you about a young man and the discussion we had. Marius and I approached several young people that were waiting for the bus. One of them told Marius he didn’t want to talk to us because he was a Satanist. I started praying for guidance in approaching him because I knew he was in great need of hearing the Gospel. I felt so sorry for him, but I had no idea how to start a discussion with him. So, I went to him and told him directly,“You can’t even imagine how sorry I am for you, because it means you suffered a lot if you refuse to talk about God in such a way.” He said I was right and he continued to hitchhike. I told him I suffered, too, when I was his age, but I found comfort and a purpose for my life in the Lord Jesus. I told him to stop hitchhiking, because no one will stop until I tell him the Gospel. He didn’t stop hitchhiking, but he was listening to me with an increasing interest. I strongly believed he needed to hear the Gospel message. I told him many times that Jesus could save him from his miserable way of living if he chose to put his trust in Him. He despised everyone and he had an empty look. I could see that God was touching his heart and he became more and more sensitive to the Word of God. A car stopped after 20 minutes, even though he had stopped hitchhiking. The driver asked him if he needed a ride, but this young man refused to go because he wanted to talk to me a few minutes more. We were friends when we split and I could see how the Lord can open the most hardened heart in just several minutes.”
