Testimony of Conversion
My name is Salah K. I was born and brought up in a Hindu family that practiced its faith with worship and other religious activities. Every year, my family offered seven sacrifices to the gods. I was fully involved with my family in these ceremonies.
One day, I went to Delhi to visit my in-laws. My wife had been visiting them for some time before I got there. After I arrived, my wife asked me to come with her to church. She said she believed in Christ. So for the first time in my life, on February 2, 1998, I went to church. After the church service, we came home and I said to my wife that it is not good to go to Church. I told her that they are converting people from Hinduism to the Christian religion.
After some time, I went to Punjab to look for work. After two months, I returned to Delhi very sick with diarrhea and other things. I was very week. My wife asked me if she could pray for me, but I forbid her. I went to the doctor, but he could not help me. Then I went to another doctor and he referred me to still another doctor.
Finally, I let my wife pray for me and share the Gospel with me. At that moment, I recognized my sinful life. I repented and believed in Jesus. By God’s grace, I has healed and started attending the church regularly. Psalm 23:6 became a very great encourage for me.
On the 13th of April 1999, I was baptized and I started to grow in the Word of God and faith. After a few years later, I came back to my native village and started the ministry. Now, all my family is growing in Christ, and I am working as a Church Planter. We all are happy in God’s ministry.
