Church Planter - North India
Rohan has been serving as a pastor and church planter since 1994. He is currently laboring as a pastor in North India among Sikh and Hindu people who are very opposed to the preaching of the Gospel.
Testimony of Conversion
My name is Rohan T. I was born in a family that had faith in Jesus. However, even though my family had this faith, I always lived far from Jesus. One day, my mother told me, “Son, it is not enough simply to be born into a Christian family. Now you have to be born again in the Name of Jesus.” Her words greatly impacted me, and that day I cried out to Jesus, and I trusted in Him personally as my Savior.
This happened in 1985, and afterwards I began growing day-by-day in Jesus. The pastor of my village used to tell me that I should serve in the ministry, but at that time I was not willing to take this responsibility. A while after my conversion, I went to live with my sister’s family in another part of North India, and I attended the church with them. After I had been attending and serving in the church for a while, the pastor there also said that I should consider joining the ministry full-time. When he said this, I remembered that my pastor in my home village used to say the same.
So, after he told me this, I determined that I would lay everything at the feet of Jesus, and do only what He wanted me to do. The Lord spoke to me through Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Through this verse, I felt very relieved, and from that point I have given my whole life to the ministry. Though I have been like Jonah, Jesus has used me for His glory.
