That His name be great among the nations

Malachi 1:11

Middle East Blog

Brothers and sisters, Thank you for your prayers for this trip. God has been a very great and present help. The need for wisdom and power from the Spirit is incredible here, so please continue to pray for us and for the Church in the Middle East. During the first two days we had a small conference in the church for the missionaries and church members. The discussion was lively and the people were very hungry to learn more about the Doctrine of God. Many came up to express in broken English how... Keep Reading

profile_leonid_bDear brothers and sisters,  Greetings to you from Israel! I went again to a prison near N_____ to minister to the prisoners. Some of them have come to faith in Christ, and we teach them the Scriptures. Others are open to hearing the Gospel, and we seek to evangelize them. Nikolay is one prisoner who has rec... Please pray for Walid B. as he travels and ministers in Egypt for the next 10 days. He will be distributing copies of Brother Paul's workbook The Truth About Man to churches, as well as preaching in the cities of Cairo, Port Said, and Al Minya. To the young men in Cairo, he will be speaking on the topic: "Love that Leads to Evangelism" and encouraging the young men not to be afraid to speak to Muslims about Jesus. Pray for strength and grace as he travels and that the Church in Egypt would... Keep Reading

Sharif A: Ministry with Refugees

Posted March 3, 2014  by: Marc Glass |0 Comments

A wonderful and distinctive thing which happened this month was that our prayers were answered, and the church is now opened daily. With the presence of the pastor and me helping in the service, we now have a daily morning prayer time in the church to serve the region, to spiritually pursue the new believers, and to respond to anyone who is in need for a help or an advice. This way, we can easily access the church and be with people to pray together. In this month, I had a meeting in the o... Keep Reading

Posted February 17, 2014  by: Marc Glass |0 Comments

It is my hope that this update finds you growing and prospering in the grace of the Lord Jesus. Please continue praying for our missionaries in the Middle East. We are now working with ten men and three churches in seven countries throughout the region. It is my prayer that the Lord would open more doors for HeartCry to impact the indigenous church in the Middle East. In the last few months, HeartCry has taken on the support of two church planters in undisclosed countries: Boutros B. and Sharif... Keep Reading

Day 3: "Wives, Honor Your Husbands" in Egypt

Posted January 31, 2014  by: Marc Glass |0 Comments

After the teaching sessions were over yesterday, we had the privilege of taking Samuel, Samira, and their three children out to dinner. Over the last few years, I have grown to appreciate, love, and respect this family more and more as I have grown to know them better. I spoke with Samira, asking her about the teaching from the conference and the ways in which she has benefitted from it. With tear-filled eyes in as good of English as she could find, she expressed to me her gratitude that we've ... Keep Reading

Day 2: "Husbands Love Your Wives" in Egypt

Posted January 30, 2014  by: Marc Glass |0 Comments

As I mentioned yesterday: marriage, family, and gender issues are increasingly confused throughout the world; the confusion is not just a western issue. In cultures like Egypt, where the majority religion is Islam, the proper treatment of women is a major issue. Like many places, many women are verbally and physically abused and often sexually exploited. Sadly, such atrocities are hidden behind a veil of secrecy and many women have no viable option for escaping the abuse that plagues them. In s... Keep Reading

Posted January 29, 2014  by: Marc Glass |0 Comments

Today we are starting the first family conference that HeartCry has hosted in the Middle East. We have a number of people from various groups throughout Egypt and even a few individuals from other nations within the region. Let me give you a brief summary of who is here with us: First, HeartCry has been working in Egypt for several years now with church planter Samuel D. in the northern part of the country. Samuel now has a church that is doing well, as he continues laboring to teach the Script... Keep Reading

Orthodox Church in Suhag.JPGThe following is a recent update on the situation in Egypt from an Egyptian pastor. Dr. Mouneer is a "friend of a friend" and his insight into what is happening should compel God's people to pray for the Egyptian's that are undergoing harsh persecution.
