The following is the transcription of an interview with HeartCry missionary Urbano Gomez. For over 20 years, Urbano has been laboring in Gospel missions in his home region of Pacaipampa, in the rugged northern mountains of Peru. In this interview, he describes how the Lord has worked in Pacaipampa over the past 40 years as he has seen the Gospel go forth with great power across the region, even in the midst of staunch opposition. Bible Conference: Biblical Theology with Sugel Michelen

Today begins the second day of a Bible conference with Pastor Sugel Michelen, from the Dominican Republic. All of the HeartCry missionaries from Argentina and Peru are present here in Lima for the four-day course dealing with Biblical Theology, as they see how the whole Bible is connected, as one Book with one storyline. Gustavo Requejo is serving as a church planter in a Villa María del Triunfo, a poor district of Lima. In this report he tells us about some of the men that the Lord seems to be raising up and equipping from within the congregation. Also, he shares an encouraging testimony of the Lord's saving power manifest in the life of an 80 year-old man. Literature Project: Pastoral Libraries in Peru's Jungles

The effort to provide a basic pastoral library for pastors and teachers in the jungles of Peru continues. Several weeks ago, a group of around 40 men from all different parts of the northeastern jungles met in the village of Chazuta for a week of pastoral training.
