After graduating from Delhi University, Raphu worked for seven years as an evangelist with India’s Campus Crusade for Christ. Afterwards, he began praying that the Lord would lead him to do church planting among an unreached people group in South Asia. Providentially, he met HeartCry missionary Rebekah, and the two have recently been married and are now working in Bhutan.
Dear HeartCry Supporters: First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks for your regular support and prayers for us. We are so much thankful for your invaluable sacrifice and generous support in our lives and ministries. We often pray for you and thank God for your part in our work. You are a continual source of joy and encouragement to us as you pray and give so faithfully.
Your support and prayers do make a difference in many ways in our lives and work. Especially since God has now blessed us with one son (two years old) and one daughter (seven months old). You are supporting our family needs such as house rent, food, clothing, and travels.
You are also supporting a small house fellowship going on every Sunday with an average of fifteen people attending regularly. Every Wednesday, we are also having Bible studies with our fellowship members, and our family is visiting them regularly for prayer and encouragement. We also visit non-Christian families two or three times each week and share the gospel with them.
We cannot openly worship here or build a church. Missionaries are not allowed in our country. We are doing our best to keep our work unknown to the authorities, while taking the gospel to the different corners of the country. Our ministry is growing in the love and grace of the Lord. You know that the most important message we can bring to our country is the message of Jesus Christ. God is bringing more and more people to know about Jesus through our work of evangelizing and training other Christians to teach the truth of the gospel.
Through your prayers and support we have been serving God in this country for more than six years. By partnering with another ministry, we started one fellowship and, after three years, handed over the fellowship to them. By the end of last year we had started another house fellowship called, ‘Emmanuel Baptist Church.’ We have also conducted three conferences attended by many pastors and church leaders. They were challenged and encouraged to be faithful and grow in the knowledge of the Word. The brother who has been coming and teaching in these conferences is a great blessing to all of us who are serving the living God.
We are so glad that the Lord brought you into our lives. Without your support it would be difficult to serve Him in this task. We love you and are so grateful for your loving help. May the Lord richly repay you for your generous part in His ministry.
Please know that God is producing lasting fruit through your giving. In heaven you will meet many dear people who will come to Christ partly because of our partnership in taking the gospel to them. As Hebrews 6:10 says, “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.”
We know that you are sacrificing to give so generously to our work and we deeply appreciate it. Thank you so much, and may God bless you abundantly.
