Wehrner Pancorbo is the pastor of the church “Iglesia Cristiana de Gracia” (Grace Christian Church) in Cuzco, Peru.
I thank God for the opportunity to serve Him in the work of the ministry and to be part of the group of believers that serve Him in all the world. At the same time, I give many thanks to all of the brothers and sisters who support HeartCry, and who, month after month, are faithful stewards in the use of the money that God has given them. Your support provides for my family’s needs and it also gives me the ability to devote myself full-time in service to our Lord. Through your donations, we are working together in service to the Almighty God. My family and I are very grateful, and we pray for all those who contribute to this ministry.
My name is Wehrner Pancorbo, and I am forty-three years old. I have been serving our God as a missionary and pastor for twenty-three years. My wife Lupita and I have been married for eighteen years and we have been blessed with three children. My oldest son is named Wehrner Josué, and he is seventeen years old. We also have twins, Eleazar and Eliseo, who are ten years old.
Truly, beloved brothers and sisters, I feel towards you the same way that Paul felt toward the Philippians (4:10-20). From the time HeartCry began to participate with me in the work of the gospel I have been able to serve the Lord without much concern about providing for my family. Before I had received HeartCry’s support, I had to work a part-time job in addition to my responsibilities as pastor. As a result, I had less time to spend studying the Scriptures because I had to provide for my family’s needs.
When I began receiving support in 2008, I was pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church. After serving with that church, I was then sent out to plant another church in a Quechua community in Chiclayo, which we gave the name Ebenezer Baptist Church of Sinchihual. We praise God for those two churches, and I believe that without your financial support, your prayers, and God’s care for us through you, it would not have been possible to serve the Lord in those ministries in the same way.
By the grace of God, I am now in Cuzco, beginning a new church called Grace Christian Church. Because of the help of HeartCry, I can devote myself full-time to serve the Lord evangelizing, discipling, studying the Scriptures, preparing sermons, and also discipling my family.
Brothers and sisters, we are very grateful for all of the effort that you show on behalf of the servants of God around the world. We encourage you to continue serving the Lord with us and being a part of the service that we give to our God here. As you do, you will all be co-laborers with us in the ministry. I consider you to be my partners in the work that is beginning here in Cuzco.
May the Lord keep and bless all the co-laborers and donors of the HeartCry Missionary Society.
