Fear and Frustration over False Prophecy
"I am really grateful to God indeed for the evangelistic opportunities that He has been giving to us as a church to reach men and women with the gospel in their homes. As we were going around in our door-to-door evangelism, I met Mr. & Mrs. Murripeh. They stopped going to church three months ago due to some prophecy that they feel was not true. Mr. & Mrs. Murripeh told me that this so-called bishop of their former “church” (The Watch Man Ministries International) “prophesied” that Mr. Murripeh was going to be involved in a fatal road accident, and their unborn baby was going to be a girl and she would be born deformed.
However, the day and time for this fatal accident came and passed, and nothing happened. This was not the first of his “prophecies” that did not come true. To make matters worse (or better), their baby was born two weeks after this prophecy, but, lo and behold, he was a male child and very healthy so far! They gave me the privilege of naming their child, Abraham Tamba Murripeh. The thing that most breaks my heart is the fact that this couple does not understand what it means to be saved. They have been attending our Sunday worship services regularly now. Kindly pray with us for the salvation of these individuals as they continue to hear God’s Word preached to them.
Another Soul Saved
“If Christ can raise the widow’s son, who did not plead or ask to be raised, indeed He can forgive me my sins and save me from all my bondage to sin.” These were the words of brother Moses, testifying to our church how the Lord Jesus has saved him from a sermon that I preached months ago from the book of Luke 7:11-17 on the subject of the compassion of Jesus. Rejoice with us over the salvation of our dear brother."
